Semaglutide and Tirzepatide

About Semaglutide

What is semaglutide?

Semaglutide is an injectable GLP-1 receptor agonist that’s conventionally used to treat Diabetes Type 2. At Physical Dimensions, we use semaglutide to help patients witweight loss.

While semaglutide does not provide immediate weight loss, it works quickly. A study published by The New England Journal of Medicine showed that after just 4 weeks of taking semaglutide, patients experienced more than 2% reduction in body weight. Weight loss continued for this 68 week study, with ultimate loss of 14.9% of body weight.

How does it work?

It works by slowing down the stomach emptying and signaling your brain that your stomach is full. This allows the patient to feel satiated with fewer calories. Semaglutide also reduces glucagon (glucose derivative) production and increases insulin sensitivity to maintain appropriate blood sugar.

Semaglutide is a once weekly injection into the subcutaneous (fat) tissue of the lower stomach. We compound our semaglutide with Vitamin B6 to prevent side effects of nausea. We also offer this medication in conjunction with our Lipo-C injections as a package.

How do I know if I am a good candidate?

If you have been struggling with weight loss and tried other methods or medications, semaglutide may be right for you.

ABOUT Tirzepatide

What is tirzepatide?

Tirzepatide is an injectable receptor agonist for Glucagon Like Peptide-1 (GLP-1) AND Glucose-dependent Insulinotropic Polypeptide (GIP).

A study published by The New England Journal of Medicine demonstrated greater than 15% of total body weight loss with Tirzepatide. The total study length was 72 weeks which demonstrated significant weight loss

over a sustained period of time.

How does it work?

It works by slowing down the stomach emptying and signaling your brain that your stomach is full. This allows the patient to feel satiated with fewer calories. Tirzepatide also stimulates the release of insulin from the pancreas to improve blood sugar regulation.

Tirzepatide is a once-weekly injection into the subcutaneous (fat) tissue of the lower stomach. We compound our Tirzepatide with BPC-157 (a peptide) and Vitamin B6 to prevent side effects of nausea. We also offer this medication in conjunction with our Lipo-C injections as a package.

How do I know if I am a good candidate?
